Looking for a Mastiff Breeder? Good breeders may be hard to come by but a little extra effort here on your part will go a long way in knowing you have selected a properly bred dog. Ok, so how do you know a good breeder when you find one? Well a few of the things you might want to look for are.

• How long has the breeder been breeding Mastiffs, Someone who has been breeding 5 or more years has demonstrated a commitment to the breed as opposed to someone new who may be just testing the waters. Of course this does not mean a new breeder wont be just as committed but some extra caution should be taken here.
• Does the breeder enter shows? This is a place breeders like to show off their hard work, It is not just another beauty contest but the culmination of a sound breeding process that will be judged by others. A breeder who enters shows more than likely has a strong commitment to their breed
• A good breeder will also check for genetic problems in the parent Mastiffs so as not to pass any problems on to future generations where possible.
